Jerusalem artichokes rarities

The incredible variety and abundance is reflected in the many different varieties. Large tubers or a special tuber color were popular breeding goals for a long time. Unfortunately, Jerusalem artichokes are no longer cultivated, but many different varieties have survived. Here we offer you our lovingly collected varieties as individual tubers to keep them in your home garden.

Jerusalem artichoke variety garden

We propagate and preserve over 20 varieties in our variety garden. The lowest variety is just around 90 cm high, one variety even produces seeds and the tubers vary from elongated to round and thick. There are only subtle differences in taste. The soil and regional conditions play a major role here.

The tubers are only available between the end of October and the end of April. The pot plants will be offered from Mai till June. We can only offer individual tubers or potted plants as our cultivation area is limited and yields vary depending on the season.
