Apple Juice as it Used to Be – And Yet Quite Different

Apple Juice as it Used to Be – And Yet Quite Different

At an elevation of about 750 meters, right in the heart of West Allgäu, lies our Topinambur Manufaktur. On our 4 hectares of land grows our orchard meadow, which we planted in 2008. There are over 50 apple and pear trees here—old, regionally typical varieties. We deliberately did not create an apple plantation but an orchard meadow. The trees are standard trees, and anyone who has ever tried to grow a standard tree knows: It is a lifelong task—but one that is worth it.

The Harvest

Every year, if we are lucky and late frosts or storms have not destroyed the harvest, we get a wonderful amount of apples and pears! We store some of them ourselves, allowing us to have great fruit until April of the following year. However, we take the majority to a nearby cider mill to have our delicious apple juice pressed.

Our Juice

Our juice doesn't start in the bottle but in the growing, ripening, and harvesting. With patience, with a lot of nature—and without chemicals—in the beautiful landscape of the Allgäu! Our trees stand on natural grassland, which we manage extensively and organically. The variety of species is vast—making each harvest unique. And we believe: You can taste that. After the harvest, we take our apples and pears to a small, traditional cider mill nearby. There, our fruit is gently pressed—into 100% direct juice. No additives. No gimmicks. Just our fruit, nothing else.

The Taste

Due to the high proportion of pears, our juice tastes particularly fruity, mild, and well-rounded. Not too sweet, not too sour—just good. A sip of the Allgäu. Or, as we sometimes say: The orchard meadow in a glass.

Try our apple juice and experience the pure taste of the Allgäu! Here you can order your apple juice directly.
